Taqueria La Guadalupana #3
While this place doesn’t seem like much to look at; (It’s in a former Arby’s restaurant.) they do have some outstanding and authentic food. I’ve stopped by here for lunch a few times in the past few weeks and I’ve been pleased every time I’ve stopped by. The ladies there are extremely nice. I always order a water with lime and they already remember me by now. The salsa they bring you is fresh and very good.
I’m basically going to list a few things I’ve tried and share some pics. Did I mention they were authentic? On the menu you can order lengua (beef tongue), tripa (tripe or cow stomach), and also menudo. They do not, however, have ceviche. I am currently begging them to start carrying that.

This is the $5 chicken burrito. I’ve also ordered pulled pork and beef. It is huge and fantastic. This paired with some nice chips and salsa really hits the spot.

This is a fantastic ground beef taco salad. I love how they put fresh avacado slices on top.

This is their lengua taco. If you have never tried beef tongue I urge you to do so. If done correctly it tastes like the best beef roast you have ever had. This taco topped with cilantro and a squeeze of lime was perfect.

Of course I’ve gotta try the nachos! The avacado slices were very welcome on here as well as the wonderful cheeses. I’ve eaten this several times.

This is their menudo! I happened to order it on a very hot day. I added the cilantro, diced onions, and a squeeze of lime to make it an excellent soup. I was glad to see it on the menu as so many local Mexican restaurants aren’t authentic enough.
What this place lacks on overall decor and aesthetics they more than make up for in taste and authenticity. If you are every trekking down Austin Peay please stop by here. They are friendly and the food is great! You will not be sorry.

Prior to Las Delicias, this place was my go-to for Mexican. I couldn’t get my fill. Love all of their “traditional” dishes, and I hear their tortas are amazing as well. All while watching Telemundo on the TVs in the corners.
Yes, the telemundo just adds to the ambiance!
