Pho Vietnam

This is perhaps, my favorite place to eat in Memphis. I have been here several times for lunch with my wife. She works near there and Pho Vietnam is always my first suggestion when she asks what I want to eat. If you do decide to go during lunch time you will not be alone. Since this location is in the heart of the medical district it is often packed, and for good reason.

My wife and I always get the eggroll appetizer. Wrap it with some lettuce and dip it in the provided fish sauce and wow…. this is good stuff! Ignore the smell and just dip it. You will not be sorry. Between the two of us we have tried several things on the menu. The fried rice is great. Anything of the lunch specials are great. The beef and broccoli being one of my favorites. The real reason why we go is for the pho. They have the best I’ve ever had in my opinion. My wife usually goes with the yellow noodle soup with shrimp and chicken. I typically order the beef pho. They give you plenty of vegetables to add in, and the portions are more than enough. If i’m hungry enough I have been known to consume the entire bowl, broth and all.

I really can’t harp on this place enough. I’ve recommended it to several friends. They also have a second location in Southaven that features a “pho challenge.” Sounds tempting enough to drive over the state line!
